About

War Battle is a patent-pending, proprietary table game that turns the traditional poker card game of War into a multi-player series of battles to win the war and capture the treasure.

There are five planned versions of the War Battle game.

First is a table board game with 4-player and 6-player game boards. These boards will be used for tournament play of near any size. With the board game version, players compete in up to 5-War Battles per round with the goal to win 52-cards to secure a game victory and a Gold Game Winner Coin. The first player to win 3 games wins the match. Silver coins will be included in gaming sets so players may wage war to compete for silver and gold!

A new rule for War Battles was invented to make the multi-player game even more fun and suspenseful. In every War Battle any player with a card flipped up that is higher card than the highest tied pair of cards flipped up, qualifies for the next War Battle.

The Game of War Battle for Casino Table Play

The casino table game version of War Battle is a proprietary stand-alone multiplayer table game with multiple wagering and progressive side bet opportunities much like the side bets and progressive jackpot wagers with 3-Card, 4-Card and Ultimate Texas Hold'Em Casino Table Games. Only with War Battle, there is only one Community Hand per Side Bet. Each player in the game will have one card flipped up in each War Battle to create the Community Poker hand of 2-8 cards.

War Battle turns the traditional poker game of War into a multiplayer series of battles to win a Community Battle Pot.

Players compete in War Battles by flipping up one card (or the dealer can 100% control all card movement) with tied cards and any card higher than the highest tied cards (a new rule specific to this proprietary game), qualifying for the next War Battle. This is a rule unique to War Battle. The card flipping in a War Battle has been named a "Joust" to align with the theme of the game.

Game play begins with players contributing a minimum bet that is placed into the Community Battle Pot. The house may take a rake here from the Community Battle Pot. Dealer Controlled (Dealer controls card movement) and Player Controlled (Players control card flipping and card movement at dealer direction) Casino Table Games have been designed (see my website).

Once Battle Pot bets are collected by the dealer, each player will be dealt a fixed number of playing cards face down and neatly stacked on each player's Playing Stack. Then the game begins with the first War Battle. There are five playing cards issued to each player to be used in up to five War Battles in a Round of play.

After Side Bets are closed by the dealer, the dealer will direct player's to move one Card from the top of their Playing Stack but keep this card Face Down. In a Dealer-Controlled Game the delaer will control all movement of cards. Then the dealer will say to players to flip cards up or flip players War Battle cards up. The resulting cards will reveal which players advance to the next War Battle and which do not.

The unique War Battle rule that determines if a player proceeds to play in the next War Battle is as follows. Any players with tied cards advance and so do players with a higher face value card than the highest paired cards. This is repeated for up to 5 War Battles. If two or more players qualify in War Battle 5, there is a clear and simple tie-breaking rule.

There will be a suggested four card decks used in distribution and play in this game.

Also, it will be optional for the dealer to participate in play for the House as a player competing solely for the Battle Pot. This may add some fun to the game.

This is a quick action game that is projected to have up 30-40 War Battles per hour, per table, with side bet action with every War Battle that takes place. This proprietary, premium, stand-alone multiplayer table game will most assuredly be loved by players for the constant action and suspense with War Battles, Battle Pots and side bets being won and lost. Players will be drawn to try the game as the table design is quite unique and most people playing table games in casinos understand the basic rules of the traditional game of War. The War Battle theme may be one of knights jousting with a Treasure Chest at the center of the Battle Pot.

War Battle Gaming has plans on partnering with a licensing agent and is soon ready to submit for expert review house edge odds and payouts based on mathemetical calculations.

There's also plans for a mobile gaming version and a broadcast game show as well. All have been patented with provisional filings in the Summer and Fall of 2026.

War Battle Gaming was invented by Randy Smith on a family vacation playing game of War and deciding to add a new rule for battles where any player that had a higher card than the highest tied pair of cards would qualify for the next War Battle.
